PHAT LIP! You(th)Talk Radio
PHAT LIP! You(th)Talk Radio was founded in 1994 by Kwami Abdul-Bey, with input from his 7th grade social studies students at Henderson Junior High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, as a positive alternative in response to the HBO documentary "Gang War: Banging in Little Rock," after his student complained about the sensational media misrepresentation of their hometown. The mantra that his taught his students was:
"DON'T HATE THE MEDIA, BECOME THE MEDIA!"
